The Man Behind The Meats
Brandon Gump, the culinary talent behind Rowdy Rooster Artisan Meats, is more than just a butcher; he’s a salami artist. With a passion for crafting exceptional cured meats, Brandon has turned his love of food into a thriving business. His dedication to quality ingredients and traditional techniques shines through in every bite of Rowdy Rooster’s hand crafted charcuterie.
Growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brandon developed a deep appreciation for food and the art of cooking. His early experiences in the kitchen inspired him to pursue a career in the culinary world. After years of honing his skills, at restaurants across the country, Brandon realized his true passion lay in the art of charcuterie.
Brandon first met Ben Hoffman, the owner of Hoffman Organics, through a shared passion for high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Ben, known for raising Mangalitsa pork, a heritage breed prized for its rich flavor and marbled fat, immediately connected with Brandon’s dedication to artisan meat products. Their mutual respect for traditional methods and sustainable practices laid the foundation for a strong partnership, where Brandon often features Ben’s Mangalitsa pork in his charcuterie offerings.
More Than Just a Chicken Guy
Ben Hoffman is known for producing some of the best organic poultry in the region, earning him a reputation for quality and care in everything he raises.
A man of many talents Ben left behind a commercial airline pilot career to pursue a path that aligned with his values for home grown goodness. Ben now runs his 45 acre Certified Organic Farm in Huntertown, Indiana. He is also very busy being the best general contractor money can buy!
In addition to raising livestock, Hoffman Organics also grows seasonal produce in a state of the art green house and has plans to operate a food truck coming soon!
